The United States Air Forces in Europe Concert Band Comes to Poland!
6 November 2012
The U.S. Air Forces in Europe Concert Band will be in Poland during the month of November with concerts in Radom (5 November), Warka (6 November), Lodz (November 8) and Warsaw (10 November). The orchestra concert tour will be held in conjunction with the opening of the sub-division of the U.S. Air Force Base in Lask, where American and Polish F-16 and C-130 pilots will conduct joint exercises.
The band’s repertoire reflects the stylistic variety of the heritage from American and European music ranging from the Broadway scene to music from Hollywood blockbuster movies. At the concerts in Poland, the band will showcase music from opera, classical, jazz and other popular hits.
The United States Air Forces in Europe Concert Band supports the global mission of the United States Air Force during combat and peace by fostering America's cultural heritage through concerts and recordings, so that their music reaches millions of listeners. The orchestra gives concerts both for the audience of the military and civilians in the most prestigious concert halls and outdoor stages at international music festivals in Europe and the Middle East. From the date of the creation of the Orchestra in 1943, the team provides an unforgettable experience to its international audience (regardless of the age of the audience) strengthening the bonds of friendship between the United States and European neighbors. Each team brings a decade of new experiences and challenges which they adopt in the spirit of bringing together nations by overcoming barriers through music.
The U.S. Embassy in Warsaw is a proud co-organizer of The United States Air Forces in Europe Concert Band tour in Poland.
