Ambassador Melanne Verveer to Speak at Warsaw Conference

The third Invest for the Future conference will be held in Warsaw November 8-10, with Melanne Verveer, U.S. Ambassador-at-large for Global Women’s Issues, as one of the principal speakers. The conference will include a video message from Hillary Rodham Clinton, U.S. Secretary of State.
The conference proceedings are an important step to help female entrepreneurs strengthen their networks across the region with increased cooperation and coordinated economic development.
Different countries have hosted the Invest for the Future conference but always with a common goal – the launch of regional activities to establish and develop long-lasting ties for the advancement of female entrepreneurship.
The Invest for the Future project held its first conference in January, 2011, in Istanbul, Turkey and the second was a few months later, in October, in Zagreb, Croatia. Vital Voices Poland and the Warsaw University of Technology Business School (WUT Business School) are the partners in preparing the conference IFTF in Warsaw.
The conference will comprise panel discussions and interactive breakout sessions tailored for women entrepreneurs to enhance their understanding and practical skills and to gain better access to markets, network and financial services, technologies and trainings.
Ambassador Verveer at the U.S. Department of State coordinates foreign-policy issues and activities relating to the political, economic and social advancement of women around the world. She formerly served as served as chair and co-CEO of the Vital Voices Global Partnership.
