Advisors to President Obama, President Kaczynski Meet at U.S. National Academies

Advisors to President Dr. John Holdren, Science Advisor to President Obama, joined Dr. Michal Kleiber, Science Advisor to President Kaczynski, and a group of distinguished Polish and American scientists for a two-day conference in Washington called “Rebuilding the Transatlantic Bridge: U.S.- Polish Cooperation on Science, Technology, and Innovation.”  The tenth in a series of conferences on Polish-American scientific cooperation, the group discussed:   

  • U.S.- Polish Cooperation on Energy and the Environment
  • Advancing Health Research in Poland and the United States
  • Science and Innovation in the 21st Century University
  • New Initiatives in National Innovation Policy


The December 3-4 event, hosted by the U.S. National Academies of Science, provided a venue for scientific leaders to discuss best practices in innovation policy, to review existing joint research, and to identify opportunities for deeper cooperation.
