On September 17, U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe, who will depart Warsaw on September 26 after a five-year tenure, hosted a farewell reception at his Warsaw residence.  Friends and acquaintances, including foreign diplomats and members of Poland’s cultural, political, and business circles, gathered to wish Ambassador Ashe and his wife, Mrs. Joan Ashe well as they prepare to depart Warsaw.  Guests were able to view Ambassador Ashe’s large map of Poland, with orange dots marking more than 185 cities and towns he visited during his time in Poland.  A large-screen slideshow presented photos from Ambassador Ashe’s travels. “The five years in Poland were a truly fulfilling, extraordinary experience but my family and I look forward to returning to our hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee and reconnecting with family and friends there,” said Ambassador Ashe.  Please click here to see all photos from the reception and here for Ambassador’s farewell interview.
