Before bidding farewell to Warsaw, U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, hosted a reception at his residence where painters, sculptors, glass artists, film producers, directors, actors, ceramicists, and other artists gathered on September 16 to chat about their most recent work and mingle with fellow artists.  Ambassador Ashe, himself a strong supporter of the arts and artistic exchange between Poland and the United States, remarked on the many ways that art enriches our societies.  On display in the Ambassador's residence are several pieces of Polish and American art. Many of the artists who came to the reception expressed their pleasure at having an opportunity to meet with their colleagues whom they do not often have a chance to see.
