Ambassador Ashe Visits Lublin, Southeastern Poland

On March 31 and April 1, U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, traveled to the Lublin Voivodeship in Southeastern Poland, where he met with Archbishop Józef Życiński, Metropolitan of Lublin Kuria Metropolitalna, local government officials, and toured the Majdanek Concentration Camp. The first meeting was with Archbishop Życiński, followed by a courtesy call with Krzysztof Grabczuk, Marshal of the Lubelskie Province. In the afternoon, Ambassador Ashe toured the Majdanek Concentration Camp Museum with a guide and later met with the editor-in-chief of Kurier Lubelski, part of the Polska Times publishing enterprise. The following day began with two official meetings, the first one with Tomasz Futera, the Mayor of Kock, and the second one with Artur Jan Grzyb, Mayor of Międzyrzec Podlaski. Later that day, Ambassador Ashe traveled to Janów Podlaski to visit a world-renowned horse breeding establishment,
