U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe hosted a dinner May 14 for the Board of Directors of the
Polish American Freedom Foundation (PAFF) who are in Warsaw for their annual meeting. Guests at the dinner included former Board member and current Secretary of State in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery Minister Michal Boni, Board Chairman John Birkelund, Board member (and former National Security Advisor for U.S. President Jimmy Carter) Zbigniew Brzezinski, and PAFF President and CEO Jerzy Kozminski (former Polish Ambassador to the USA). The Polish-American Freedom Foundation was established in the US by the Polish-American Enterprise Fund. In 2000 PAFF began its operations and opened the Representative Office in Poland. The Foundation’s goal is to support the development of civil society, democracy and market economy in Poland, including efforts to equalize opportunities for personal and social development, as well as to support the transformation processes in other countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
