The Science On a Sphere® centerpiece at the U.S. Center

The giant, rotating, colorful globe, displaying computer-animated projections of the Earth’s land, oceans, and atmosphere, attracted much attention at the COP15 Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, December 7-18, 2009.  The Planet Earth Science On a Sphere® display made up the dynamic centerpiece at the U.S. Center and was part of lectures and presentations describing U.S. climate change policies and initiatives, including public-private partnerships and collaboration with other governments.  During the two-week conference, the U.S. Center hosted over 70 events.  Thanks to its central location in the Bella Conference Center, most of the 15,000 conference participants had a chance to learn more about U.S. efforts at home and internationally to combat global climate change.  The Meeting Room at the U.S. Center in Copenhagen provided ample space for in-depth explorations of critical initiatives, policies, and scientific research.
