Deputy Chief of Mission Pamela Quanrud departs Warsaw; Management Counselor Mike Tulley Assumes Role of Acting Deputy Chief of Mission

Deputy Chief of Mission Pamela Quanrud departed Warsaw for Washington on August 27.  In Washington, Ms. Quanrud will serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.  Ms. Quanrud will oversee bilateral relations with Nordic, Baltic, and Central European countries, including Poland.  Ms. Quanrud began her service at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw on April 28, 2008.  Upon Quanrud’s departure, Ambassador Victor Ashe said, “Pam Quanrud is an outstanding DCM who did an excellent job during her tenure here.  Though we’re sorry to see her go, she is moving on to a role that will keep her involved with the U.S.-Poland relationship.  I wish her all the best.”
Effective August 27, Management Counselor Mike Tulley is Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassy Warsaw.  Mike Tulley arrived in Warsaw in August 2007 and has been a Foreign Service Officer since 1986.  He has served in a variety of management positions in Cameroon, Belgrade, Washington, Germany, the United Kingdom, Estonia, and Italy.
