Minister of Science and Higher Education Kudrycka Visiting Washington

Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education Barbara Kudrycka is visiting Washington, D.C. June 24-27, 2009 to intensify bilateral U.S.-Polish educational and scientific cooperation. Minister Kudrycka will focus on joint research efforts in polar science and climate change in meetings at the White House Office of Science and Technology, the State Department, the National Science Foundation and the National Academy of Sciences. The visit will also foster continued growth in the number of academic partnerships and exchange programs for faculty and students at U.S. and Polish universities. Minister Kudycka, who has served in the cabinet since Poland’s November 2007 elections, is also a distinguished professor of law as and served as a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2007.
