The Industrial College of the Armed Forces in Warsaw

From 3 May to 10 May the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw hosted a sixteen member delegation from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces based at Fort McNair, Washington, DC. The group, consisting of 14 masters degree students and 2 faculty, was co-hosted by the Embassy’s Defense Attache Office and Foreign Agricultural Services Office. The primary focus of the group’s visit was to study the Biotechnology Industry of Central Europe. The trip marks the end of a year-long study program of the students at the National Defense University in Washington which will result in a Masters Degree in Resourcing the National Strategy.
While they were in Poland, the group had the opportunity to visit multiple sites in Warsaw, Poznan and Krakow meeting with many members of industry concerning Poland’s biotechnology programs. With consultations with the U.S. Embassy, the Polish Military and Civilian sectors, the trip to Poland was very successful for all parties. The group will continue on to Prague, Czech Republic for a week and then back to Washington DC to finish their studies for the year.
