U.S. and Polish Teams Working to Modernize Financial Ties

A Treasury Department-led team is in Poland this week to work with colleagues in the Polish Ministry of Finance to modernize the U.S.-Poland Tax Treaty.  Team leader Jose Murillo of the Treasury says that updating the treaty is a very high priority of the Treasury Department.   “The new treaty will provide certainty in tax treatment to investors and will reduce tax-related barriers to cross-border investment.”  The tax treaty now in force was signed in 1974.
