Ambassador Ashe Visits Southern Poland

Ambassador Victor Ashe visited Wroclaw, several cities in Silesia, and Krakow during his visit to southern Poland from August 21-23.  The Ambassador began his trip to Silesia with a visit to Raciborz where he met with Mayor Miroslaw Lenk and toured the Raciborz Museum.  Ambassador Ashe then continued on to Wodzislaw-Zdroj where he met with Mayor Mieczyslaw Kieca, and then on to Jastrzebie-Zdroj where he met with Mayor Marian Janecki and did several press interviews.    Following this visit, he went to Zory where he met Deputy Mayor Daniel Wawrzyczek and with representatives of the local media.   The Ambassador concluded his day in Silesia with a visit to Zywiec and a meeting with Mayor Antoni Szlagor.  The stop in Zywiec also included a walk around the city’s castle and interviews with local media.   Ambassador Ashe then continued on to Krakow.
