Ambassador Attends Ceremony for Nazis’ Victims in Wolborski Forest Near Piotrków Trybunalski

U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe visited Piotrków Trybunalski to attend a ceremony in the Wolborski Forest commemorating citizens of Piotrków – both Jews and Christian Poles – murdered by Nazis during World War II.  Participants in the ceremony included Israeli Ambassador David Peleg, Chief Rabbi of Poland Michael Schudrich, Helena Kaczmarek (representing the Voivode in Piotrkόw), Voivode Jolanta Chelminska, and Piotrków Mayor Krzysztof Chojniak.  After the ceremony, Ambassador Ashe also visited Mszczonów and met with Mayor Józef Grzegorz Kurek.
