6 December 2008

Poznan Ice Prize

The American team with Aaron Costic of Elegant Ice Creations won first prize in the 3rd Annual International Ice Sculpting Competition in Poznań, announced Press Attaché James Wolfe.  This year, the town decided to reschedule this annual event to December 6th to coincide with the United Nations Climate Change Conference.  Visitors flocked to the charming Old Market Square to enjoy the festive atmosphere and watch participants turn blocks of ice into beautiful sculptures later illuminated with colorful lights.  Fifteen teams from Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Japan, Canada, Mexico, the USA, and Poland participated this year.
