Assistant Secretary of Defense Visits Poland

John Grimes, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Networks and Information Integration and Department of Defense Chief Information Officer is visiting Warsaw for meetings with the U.S. Embassy and Poland's Ministry of Defense.  Assistant Secretary Grimes met with U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe and will conduct meetings with senior Polish information and telecommunications officials in the Ministry of Defense.  The visit is coordinated by the Embassy's Office of Defense Cooperation within the framework of U.S. security assistance.  The Office of Defense Cooperation coordinates over $4 Billion in U.S. security assistance efforts in Poland including equipment and training which is helping to modernize and transform the Polish military.
