Congressional Delegation in Warsaw to Discuss Climate Change

A Congressional delegation led by Representative Rick Boucher (D-VA), and including Representatives Fred Upton (R-MI), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Albert Wynn (D-MD), Nick Rahall (D-WV), and Dan Lungren (R-CA), as well as Bud Albright, Under Secretary of Energy of the Department of Energy visited Warsaw on March 20 for official meetings with several Polish government ministries on climate change.

The group first met with business representatives and the American Chamber of Commerce’s Environment Committee before calling on the Ministry of Agriculture, where they met with Undersecretary of State Andrzej Dycha and Director of the Department of European Union and International Cooperation Julian T. Krzyżanowski.  The delegation then visited the Ministry of Economy and spoke with Undersecretary of State Rafał Baniak and other experts on clean coal technology.

In the late afternoon the delegation called on Minister of Environment Maciej Nowicki and experts on climate change.
