Deputy Prime Minister Pawlak Visits United States

Principals in the U.S.-Polish Economic/Commercial Dialogue

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Waldemar Pawlak made his first visit to the United States as Deputy Prime Minister the week of April 28. In Washington he called on Secretary of Commerce Gutierrez to continue the Economic/Commercial Dialogue that Poland and the United States have engaged in for the past several years, and he met with Secretary of Energy Bodman to discuss energy security. Minister Pawlak also visited Stanford University in California and met with U.S. companies in the hi-tech field. Finally, he spent some time in Chicago meeting with prominent community members in Polonia.
