John Rood in Poland to continue Missile Defense Negotiations

John Rood, Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, paid a short visit to Warsaw, Poland on December 16th as part of ongoing talks about implementing the Missile Defense Agreement between Poland and the United States and to consult with the Government of Poland on US and Polish meetings with the Russian government.  Undersecretary Rood met with Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski early in the morning and later with Dr. Przemyslaw Grudzinski, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland.  Undersecretary Rood had a press availability at the Foreign Ministry and gave an exclusive interview to Rzeczpospolita daily before traveling on to Moscow for meetings there.
