U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe met with Mr. James Q. Roberts, Deputy U.S. Director of the George C. Marshall Center on May 9. Mr. Roberts and Ambassador Ashe discussed the Marshall Center's core mission and Polish involvement in its course offerings. The Center's mission is to create a more stable security environment by advancing democratic institutions and relationships, especially in the field of defense, promoting active, peaceful security cooperation, and enhancing enduring partnerships among the nations of North America, Europe and Eurasia. The legacy, goals, and ideals of the Marshall Plan continue through the security education initiatives of the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. The Marshall Center is a renowned international educational institution that promotes dialogue and understanding among the nations of North America, Europe and Eurasia. Dedicated in 1993, the Marshall Center’s mission is to continue Marshall’s vision in the 21st Century. Supported bilaterally by the governments of the United States and Germany, the Center boasts an international staff and faculty, and is distinct from NATO institutions. It is located in Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany.
