Polish Naval Academy Hosts US Ambassador

Ambassador Victor Ashe visited the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia on 9 October 2008.  He was hosted by the Commandant-Rector of the Academy, Rear Admiral Czeslaw Dyrcz.  The Chief of Staff of the Polish Navy, Rear Admiral Waldemar Gluszko, also participated in the visit.  During his visit, Ambassador Ashe gave an address on relations between the United States and the Russian Federation to a group of approximately 300 students and faculty from the Academy.  This was the first guest lecture of the Academy's new academic year, which began last week.  He also answered questions from the audience on topics ranging from future NATO expansion to the situation in Afghanistan.
