Eight Polish Land Forces soldiers graduated from the Warrior Leadership Course (WLC) held at the 7th U.S. Army Joint Multinational Training Center in Grafenwoehr, Germany on March 26, 2008. Polish Army Corporal Arkadiusz Sokolnicki was selected as the Distinguished International Student during the tough 30-day course.  WLC is the first step in the U.S. Army's NCO Education System.  Mr. Jerry Brozyna of the Office of Defense Cooperation discussed Fiscal Year 2009 participation for Polish Land Forces NCOs.  “Warrior Leadership Course is a great opportunity for NCOs to exchange their various experience. I regret that I didn’t attend WLC before I was deployed to Iraq” said Sergeant Piotr Barniak from Polish Land Forces 25th Air Cavalry Brigade based out of Tomaszow Mazowiecki.  “WLC would definitely make me more efficient in cross-coalition communication and cooperation with US Armed Forces participating in OIF.” To date, over $400,000 in U.S. Security Assistance funding and Illinois State Partner programs have provided training for hundreds of Polish NCOs in courses ranging from the Warrior Leadership Course to the U.S. Army's Sergeant Major Academy.
