Regional U.S. Ambassadors Meet in Warsaw

U.S. Embassy Warsaw hosted this year's annual conference of U.S. Ambassadors from the region over the weekend of October 31-November 2, 2008.  The meetings addressed a number of important policy questions specific to new members of the European Union, the Baltics, and Eurasia, including energy issues and regional security.  The gathering included Ambassador Victor Ashe from Warsaw, Poland; Ambassador John Cloud from Vilnius, Lithuania; Ambassador Anne Derse from Baku, Azerbaijan; Ambassador April Foley from Budapest, Hungary; Ambassador Yousif Ghafari from Ljubljana, Slovenia; Ambassador Richard Graber from Prague, Czech Republic; Ambassador Charles Larson from Riga, Latvia; Ambassador Vincent Obsitnik from Bratislava, Slovakia; Ambassador Dave Phillips from Tallinn, Estonia; Deputy Assistant Secretary Judy Garber from the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs; and many of their spouses.
