U.S. Embassy in Warsaw – Winter Awards Ceremony |
The Embassy paused from "business as usual" for a few minutes on Monday, December 15th at 2:30 pm for the annual Winter Awards Ceremony to recognize special achievements and years of service by many of our dedicated employees. Ambassador Ashe paid special tribute and expressed his appreciation to a group of retirees who were invited to join their former work colleagues at the ceremony and were honored for their years of service. Ambassador Ashe said it had become a tradition at the Embassy in Warsaw to meet twice a year and recognize those employees who distinguish themselves by truly outstanding work. “Among the awards granted today are Length of Service Awards to 24 individuals who represent a combined 360 years of service for the Department of State and the American people,” he added. “That’s 265 years for our Locally Engaged Staff, and another 95 years for the Americans being so honored.” A reception was held immediately after the ceremony.
