A congressional Delegation led by Allyson Schwartz of the House Democracy Assistance Commission (HDAC) visited Warsaw on December 16th for meetings with Polish security officials and members of the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee, announced Defense Attaché, Col. Richard C. Runner. The Members in the delegation also included Reps. David Dreier, Adam Schiff, Donald Payne and Bill Shuster. The U.S. Delegation met with members of the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee and members of the National Security Office (BBN) including National Security Advisor Wladyslaw Stasiak. They also attended the Christmas Party at the residence of U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, on the evening before their departure for Tbilisi, Georgia. “Congressional visits are a great way to further strengthen the relationship between the United States and Poland,” said Ambassador Ashe. “We are always happy to assist delegation members during their stay in Poland and support them in every way we can.”
