Defense Meritorious Service Medal for Colonel Walter Munyer

Colonel Walter Munyer with U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe

Colonel Walter Munyer, who served as the Air Attaché to Poland for the last 2 ½ years was presented with the Defense Meritorious Service Medal prior to his move back to the United States after completion of his military tour.  U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, who presided over the ceremony, credited Colonel Munyer with many successes but stressed the fact that the greatest attribute Colonel Munyer leaves behind is the Missile Defense Agreement between the U.S. and Poland.
