The recently appointed Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Poland, Gheorghe Predescu, paid a courtesy call to U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe on Tuesday, March 3, 2009.  Ambassador Predescu previously served as Consul General for Romania in Chicago, IL and has been the Ambassador to Poland since February 27, 2009.  The Romanian-Polish relations are appreciated by both sides as excellent, being based on a strategic partnership, which is in the course of consolidation and deepening, as well as a sustained high level political dialogue.
