Secretary Clinton Responds to Congratulations from Foreign Minister Sikorski

In a letter to Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski,  U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed gratitude for congratulations she had received on her nomination and confirmation.   She thanked Minister Sikorski for his "words of encouragement and support."  Clinton noted that the American and Polish people live in a time of great challenges, but also one of new opportunities.  "I look forward to working with you to advance our common interests and address global issues," Clinton wrote.
