Senator Barbara Mikulski Delivers Remarks in US Senate Celebrating 10 Year Anniversary of NATO Enlargement

US Senator Barbara Mikulski added her voice to the celebrations of the 10 year anniversary of the accession of Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic to NATO. She delivered her remarks on the floor of the US Senate, stating: “The NATO expansion nations of 1999, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary have more than lived up to their obligations under the NATO alliance. Poland has also emerged as one of the United States’ strongest allies in the war against terrorism and extremism around the globe.”
Senators Mikulski, Shaheen, Voinovich, Casey, Lieberman, Bayh, Durbin, Lugar, Bennet, Dodd, and Martinez cosponsored a U.S. Senate Resolution commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the accession of the Czech Republic, the Republic of Hungary, and the Republic of Poland as members of NATO.
