Ambassador Ashe Hosts Mayor of Chelm

U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, and Mrs. Joan Ashe, hosted a luncheon at their Residence for Agata Fisz, the newly elected Mayor of Chelm, Poland, on April 10. Ambassador Ashe and Mayor Fisz discussed issues related to local government, Chelm’s economic development plans, the Chelm-Knoxville sister city relationship, and U.S. Embassy support for cultural and educational programs in Chelm.  As the former Mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ambassador Ashe helped to establish the Chelm-Knoxville sister city relationship.
