Ambassador Ashe Visits Gdansk Area

U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe visiting Gdansk and five nearby towns on October 8 and 9.   "I always enjoy seeing how municipal government is progressing in Poland, having been a mayor myself," he said.   On Monday the 8th, he visited with Mayor Albin Bychowski in Zukowo before traveling on to pay a call to Mayor of Rumia Elzbieta Rogala-Konczak.   In late morning, he traveled on to Puck and met with Mayor Marek Rintz.   Continuing on in the afternoon, Ambassador Ashe saw Mayor Halina Klinska of Leba and Mayor of Reda Krzysztof Krzeminski.   On the 9th, the ambassador met with Rector of the Gdansk Academy of Fine Arts Tomasz Boguslawski before returning to Warsaw.
