Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Visits Polish Air Base

The U.S. Embassy's Deputy Chief Of Mission, Ken Hillas, visited the 31st Air Force base at Krzesiny, Poland on October 31, 2007, where he received base infrastructure briefings and a tour of the base, and examined an F-16 fighter jet, met with Polish, U.S. government and contractor personnel, and flew in an F-16 flight simulator.  Deputy Commander of the 2nd Tactical Brigade Col. Cezary Wasser and Base Commander Lt. Col. SÅ‚awomir Smuktonowicz escorted Mr. Hillas throughout the informative visit.  Mr. Hillas also had the opportunity to meet with the 3rd and 6th Squadron commanders, pilots Lt. Col.s Ross Stepaniuk and Zbigniew Zawada.
