Embassy employee Elizabeth Bolton ran a strong race and placed third in her running category at the Poznan Marathon on October 14, 2007.  Ms. Bolton accomplished this just weeks after her participation in the 29th running of the Warsaw Marathon.   Ms. Bolton, a charter member of the local Warsaw Running Club, "Vistula Runners," barely caught her breath after the Warsaw Marathon on September 23, and bravely entered the eighth running of the Poznan Marathon.  The Poznan race, with cool temperatures, started and ended on beautiful Lake Maltanskie, treating contestants to a beautiful 42 kilometer course through the older and newer sections of Poznan.  The race course included the market square and some challenging hills.  Over 3,000 participants from more than 25 countries competed in the Poznan Marathon where Ms. Bolton won an award for her impressive third place finish!
