Overseas Security Advisory Council Holds Meeting on Cyber Crimes

A meeting of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) was held at the offices of Ernst and Young in Warsaw, Poland on March 20. U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, introduced the topic of cyber crimes and representatives from the U.S. Secret Service based in Frankfurt, Germany, U.S. Embassy Warsaw’s Legal Attaché’s Office, and the Polish Police Cyber Crimes Unit, all gave presentations to the American business representatives assembled. The presenters raised awareness of the threat of cyber crimes by providing details from investigations of ongoing cases. OSAC is a Federal Advisory Committee with a U.S. Government Charter to promote security cooperation between American business and private sector interests worldwide and the U.S. Department of State.
