U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, and Minister-Coordinator for Special Services, Zbigniew Wasserman, of the Polish Prime Minister’s Chancellery, signed a bilateral General Secrecy of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) on March 8.  The agreement provides security for all exchanges of information or equipment between the U.S. Department of Defense and Polish military agencies.  “Poland and the United States cooperate closely throughout the world to counter transnational threats such as terrorism, international crime, narcotics trafficking, and weapons proliferation,” noted Ambassador Ashe. “This agreement will facilitate and contribute to our continued success in the area of military information-sharing.”
