Two members of the Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office of the U.S. Department of Defense are visiting Poland March 17 to April 7 to conduct research and interviews in connection with 12 unresolved cases of American servicemen missing since World War II.  The researchers are visiting Warsaw, Szczecin, Kostrzyn, Lublin, and Krakow and are being assisted by U.S. Embassy Warsaw’s Defense Attaché’s Office.  “I urge anyone with information on the remains of American POWs to e-mail or call the Embassy or contact the Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office,” said U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, during his welcome meeting with the visiting team on March 19.
