Ambassador Thomas Schweich, Coordinator for Counternarcotics and Justice Reform in Afghanistan, met with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior & Administration to discuss the new U.S. strategy to combat poppy cultivation in Afghanistan on December 3, 2007.  He reiterated great U.S. appreciation for our strong partnership with Poland in Afghanistan and Polish commitment to Middle East stability."
