Thirty-five members of the Young Diplomats Association at Warsaw University visited the U.S. Embassy to meet with U.S. diplomats and ask questions about international relations, current political issues, visa policy and U.S.-EU economic relations. U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe welcomed the group to the Embassy on October 18, where they had an opportunity to listen to Embassy diplomats on a wide variety of issues. Political Officer John Gorkowski outlined the current U.S.-Polish political situation to the group, Economic Counselor Richard Rorvig spoke on the state of the U.S. economy in the context of U.S.-Polish ties and Consular Officer Jared Banks briefed the students on U.S. immigration and visa policy.
