High School students from Konskie participate in Meet America program in the Embassy
A group of 25 high school students from Końskie (Świętokrzyskie Province) visited the Embassy yesterday to learn from our diplomats about American culture, history and computer science.
The students had the opportunity to listen to presentations by POL/ECON officer Michael Rosenthal, Consular officer Frisco McDonald and GSO Andrew Staples, who presented the history of Polish-American relations, the role of Multiculturalism in the US from, and computer science in the US. Each presentation concluded with a Q&A session, allowing the students to ask follow up questions on the topic of the presentation and on American life and culture in general.
Several students in the group study computer science, so as a special bonus, U.S. students from the Electro-Digital Technology School in Vancouver, WA made a short You Tube video especially for the Polish group. In the video, the U.S. students conducted a virtual tour of their school and talked about the projects they are currently working on.
