Dr. Thomas Nichols visits Warsaw

Dr. Thomas Nichols

Professor in the National Security Decision Making Department at the U.S. Naval War College, Dr. Thomas Nichols visited Warsaw on Monday Oct. 11 at the invitation of the U.S. Embassy. He met with the staff of the National Security Bureau to discuss European security in the last 15-30 years and changes in the concept of "national security" in the 20th and 21st centuries. On October 11th, at 11:30 Dr. Nichols also gave a presentation on “U.S. choices regarding deterrence posture in the XXI century:  the role of nuclear weapons, conventional capabilities, and missile defense” combined with Q&A discussion at the Polish Institute of International Relations.
