U.S. American Embassy participants Ms. Elizabeth Bolton, LTC Ray Wojcik, SSG Larry Kingsbury and Mr. Keith Hall took part in Warsaw's annual Independence Day  Race.  The race started in mid-town on Nowy Swiat and finished at the historic Wilanow Palace where 2,500 runners were awarded silver medals, race certificates and treated to Grochowka (Polish Soldiers Soup).  Each runner wore a Red and White armband representing Poland's National Flag.  Among many other 11 November events in Poland, the Independence Day Race commemorates 11 November, 1918 on which Poland marks regaining its independence after 123 years of domination by foreign powers.
