Robot Demonstration at PIAP

A defense/security robot demonstration was held at the Polish Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP) in Warsaw on July 30, 2008. Dr. Richard Olesinski of the Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation was on hand to observe the demonstration, together with Poland’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Lockheed Martin’s Regional Manager of Industrial Cooperation. The robot performance data provided by PIAP will be used to support consideration of the robots, both in full production and prototypes, as candidates for the U.S. Department of Defense’s Comparative Testing Program.
