Ambassador Ashe Marks Second Anniversary Of The Passing Of Pope John Paul II

On behalf of U.S. President George W. Bush and the American people, U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Victor Ashe, joins the many Poles and others around the world in remembering the second anniversary of the passing of His Holiness John Paul II on April 2, 2005.  “Pope John Paul II was an inspiration to millions of Americans, and to so many more throughout the world.  We will always remember the humble, wise and fearless priest who became one of history's great moral leaders,” said Ambassador Ashe.  “We maintain solidarity with the Polish people as they honor his memory.”
