Poland's President Sends Letter of Condolence to President Bush

20 April 2007

Polish President Lech Kaczynski recently sent a letter of condolence to U.S. President George W. Bush in connection with the Virginia Tech massacre.  "Please accept my deepest sympathies, on behalf of the Polish nation and myself, for the families of the victims of the tragedy," wrote President Kaczynski.  "Every death is painful and the death of so many innocent people has shocked us. We share the pain and despair in solidarity with the American people, joining in prayer with the families of the victims.”
