RSO Maria Mijalski with an elementary school class in Warsaw

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. embassy has a very active outreach program to engage the Polish public on American issues. Within the last two weeks, there have been 7 outreach events where students and adults from Łódź, Płock, and Warsaw have had the opportunity to interact with American diplomats and discuss a variety of issues, ranging from U.S. foreign policy to pop culture and holidays.

Our speaker program can be used for a wide range of audiences and topics. For example, RSO Maria Mijalski is speaking today to Warsaw Music School elementary level students about American customs, traditions and holidays, and last week, ACAO Frankie Sturm spoke to academics and international relations students about U.S.-Japanese relations and the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Are you interested in learning more about the U.S. from an American Speaker? The U.S. Embassy can facilitate that for you through its speaker programs. You can invite a U.S. diplomat to your school, university, conference, U.S. related event or you can visit the Embassy and meet with U.S. diplomats listening to their presentations on U.S. topics. Email DzielakMK@state.gov to invite the Embassy speaker to your group.
