A delegation of American state legislators and businesspeople affiliated with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) visited Warsaw November 12-15. The group met with Polish political leaders and policymakers to exchange views on issues of mutual interest. U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe and Mrs. Ashe hosted a dinner at their residence on November 14 in honor of the visiting delegation. ALEC’s mission is to advance the Jeffersonian principles of free markets, limited government, federalism, and individual liberty, through a non-partisan, public-private partnership between America’s state legislators and concerned members of the private sector, the federal government and the general public.
