U.S. Ambassador to Open "American Corner" in Łódź.

Ambassador Christopher Hill and the Rector of Łódź University Prof. dr hab. Wiesław Puś will cut the ribbon to open Poland's first "American Corner" on February 18. The Corner, located in the Department of Management at Łódź University, will provide information about the United States to the general public. It will be a venue for events involving visiting speakers, exchange program alumni and American Studies and English language teachers. More American Corners are expected to open throughout Poland in the coming years. The American Corner in Łódź will operate in partnership between the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and Łódź University. A memorandum of understanding between the Embassy and the University establishing the Corner was signed last October.
