American Corner

Ambassador Christopher Hill and the Rector of Łódź University Prof. dr hab. Wiesław Puś cut a ribbon on Feb. 18, officially opening the first "American Corner" in Poland. The Corner will provide information about the United States to the general public. It will be a venue for events involving visiting speakers, exchange program alumni and American Studies and English language teachers.

"I see the Corner as one more tangible sign of the strong ties between the United States and Poland and between Łódź University and the United States," said Amb. Hill. "The American Corner in Łódź will be a great success and a bridge for mutual understanding between our countries."

The American Corner in Łódź is operated in partnership between the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw and Łódź University.
