Khalif “Wailin’” Walter expounds on Blues music:
Blues Music was originated in the 1890’s by African-Americans.
Blues Music was deeply intertwined with the African-American experience and provides through analysis an oral history of social change, religious beliefs, work ethic, social values, and self image of a people.
Blues Music as an art form has evolved and remains to this day a vital music and the root tree whose branches include rock, funk, jazz, hip-hop, R and B, gospel and rap.
Blues music originated through unique blend of cultural circumstances each of these being equally important ingredients in the recipe for the blues stew.
