Ambassador Victor Ashe visited the prestigious Art New Media Gallery in Warsaw

5 October 2005

Ambassador Victor Ashe visited the prestigious Art New Media Gallery in Warsaw to promote the exhibit of Polish-American artist Hanna Zawa-Cywinska on October 5. The Ambassador, an honorary patron of the exhibit, met Andrzej Kozminski, the President of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and co-patron of the exhibit, to view the exhibit, and sign catalogs for guests. During their visit to the museum, Ms. Zawa Cywinska explained that the American Dream made a deep impression on her work, since she “traveled to the US over 40 years ago with only 150 dollars in her pocket.” The exhibit entitled “Inscriptions” is an autobiographical look at the artist’s life through lines of poetry painted on stone slabs.
